Exciting New Developments For UK Chasers
29th March 2010
A NEW competition is set to prove an exciting addition to the TopSpec UK Chasers Challenge throughout 2010.
The ‘Inter Course Team Challenge’ is a new competition for this exciting sport and will bring together teams from all over the country.
The TopSpec Inter Course Team Challenge will replace the Chasers Challenge Final for 2010. Instead the day at Catton Park on October 10 will be devoted to this new section of the Challenge.
Every UK Chasers course will be looking for at least two teams to represent their course at the competition.
There are no qualifying rounds, entry will be based on ‘selection’ by each UK Chasers course.
David Talbot of UK Chasers said: “We are very excited about this new approach to the Challenge, which is aimed at bringing together riders from all over the country who make regular use of UK Chasers courses. Not just to attempt to carry back the Winners Trophy to their favourite UK Chasers course but to have a really enjoyable day.
“We are hoping to get more than 200 riders to Catton Park to make this is great day, with some good competition but a lot of fun at the same time.”
A team will consist of two riders with no restrictions on the pairing. Any combination is allowed horse/pony, any age and any gender. The competition is run under the same rules as the Pairs class of the Chasers Challenge.
Added Katy Tyler of sponsor TopSpec: “This is a terrific opportunity for riders to compete in what is widely regarded as a super friendly and relaxed way at a premier equestrian venue.
“The day will also offer a rare chance for family members to compete together on level terms.”
